Abstract Submission Guidelines – NABICON 2027

The Organizing Committee of NABICON 2027 invites abstracts for Podium Presentation and E-Poster Presentations.

Abstract Submission Process

  • Only registered delegates will be eligible to submit abstracts.
  • Abstract submissions (Podium presentations and E-Poster) will only be accepted electronically through the abstract submission form.
  • The Award Best Paper application for NABICON2027 should reach the Hony Secretary of NABI (National Academy of Burns-India) at nabi.secretary.india@gmail.com / smapexsummit@gmail.com by 31st October 2026. Hard copies may be sent to secretariat office.
  • All content of the abstract is the sole responsibility of the author(s).
  • A candidate may submit a maximum of two presentations, either as Podium presentations, E-Posters, or a combination of both. No more than two submissions will be accepted. This limit excludes submissions made under the Award Best Paper category.
  • Online submissions will start from 15th July 2026.
  • Last date to submit abstracts: 15th October 2026.
  • The Scientific Committee will send email notifications regarding the acceptance of podium presentations, Award Best Papers, and E-poster presentations by November 30th, 2026.

Guidelines for Abstract submission for podium presentations

  • General criteria for acceptance: originality, clarity and relevance.
  • Each Abstract Must Include
    • Title
    • Names of Authors
    • Presenting Author
    • Department
    • Institute / Hospital
    • City & Country
  • Abstract body should not exceed 250 words.(in PDF file only).
  • Do not include subheadings, tables, or figures.

E-Poster Guidelines

  • E-POSTER presenters have to prepare the E-Poster as a PowerPoint presentation (Microsoft Office 2010 or later) in .pptx format converted to single page PDF.
  • Maximum 4 slides can be used in E-Poster.
  • The first slide should be the main Poster followed by 3 slides to support the content/explanations.
  • Please do not include any animation or videos as part of the presentation.
  • The slides should be in 16:9 (Wide, Landscape) format only.
  • The maximum file size permitted is 5 MB.
  • E-Poster Winners will receive a Medal and Award Certificate.

Types of Presentation

  • Long Paper Podium Presentation (6 + 2 minutes).
  • Short Paper Podium Presentation (4 + 1 minute).
  • E-Poster Presentation (3 + 2 minutes).

Abstract Submission Guidelines for Award Papers – NABICON 2027

Prof. J. L. Gupta Best Paper Award

For Young Burns Surgeons .

The Prof. J. L. Gupta Best Paper Award is instituted to encourage and recognize outstanding research by young Burns surgeons.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The candidate must be 45 years of age or below.
  • The candidate should be within 10 years of obtaining their last postgraduate degree.
  • The candidate must be a Member of the National Academy of Burns-India (NABI).
  • The candidate must be a registered delegate for NABICON 2027.
  • The candidate should be a practicing Burns Surgeon.

NABI Best Paper Award

Supported by Smt. Sushila H. Bembade.

(For Postgraduate Trainees & Young Postgraduates) The NABI Best Paper Award, supported by Smt. Sushila H. Bembade, aims to promote quality research among postgraduate trainees and recently qualified Burns surgeons.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Postgraduate trainee (MS/MCh/DNB), or maximum 3 years post PG or post MCh/DNB
  • The candidate must be a Member of the National Academy of Burns-India (NABI).
  • The candidate must be a registered delegate for NABICON 2027.
Submission Guidelines of Best Paper Awards
  • Full paper submission is mandatory in PDF file only. Abstract submission alone will not be considered.
  • Do NOT mention the names of the author or co-authors anywhere in the manuscript.
  • Do NOT mention the name of the institute, hospital, department, or city in the manuscript or presentation.
    •
  • The manuscript and presentation should contain only the title and scientific content, without any identifying information.
  • Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disqualification from the award category.
Presentation of Best Paper Awards
  • Selected papers will be presented during the designated Best Paper Award session.
  • Presentation Time: 10 minutes
    • 7 minutes presentation
    • 3 minutes discussion

  • Submission Deadline of Best Paper Awards: 31st October 2026.
Award
  • Prof. J. L. Gupta Best Paper Award - The winner will receive a Medal and Award Certificate.
  • NABI Best Paper Award supported by Smt. Sushila H. Bembde - The winner will receive a Medal, Cash prize and Award Certificate .
Award Committee Decision.
  • The Award Committee of NABICON 2027 reserves the right to accept or reject any submission of award papers, and its decision shall be final.
